This beautiful knit promises luxurious warmth and serves as a refined base layer for cold weather. A pleasantly warm vest made from yak, a special and unique wool. It combines versatility, practicality and comfort.

Material

100% Yak wool

Yak wool is incredibly warm and breathable at the same time. It is known for its thermoregulatory properties, has the ability to release moisture and adapt to body temperature. It is a durable, strong and soft wool to the touch. It is warmer than merino wool, is as soft as cashmere and reduces body odor thanks to its antibacterial properties. All types of natural wool are resistant to static electricity, however, yak wool has a higher static electricity than other wools.

Localities

Khuvsgul, Mongolia

Care

For best care, we always recommend referring to the garment's care label.

  • Yak wool requires gentle handling to maintain its softness and shape long-term.
  • Hand washing is recommended. Water temperature lukewarm, max. 30 °C. Use a mild detergent designed for wool/cashmere.

Instructions:

  1. Turn the item inside out and soak it in lukewarm water with a mild detergent.
  2. Gently knead the fabric without twisting; rinse with cold water until clean.
  3. Gently squeeze and press out excess moisture (do not wring). Lay flat on a flat surface over an absorbent towel and allow to dry horizontally, away from direct sunlight and heat.

To maintain the material's shape and softness long-term:

  • Prefer hand washing; a washing machine (even on a delicate cycle) can damage the fiber structure.
  • Avoid strong wringing or twisting.
  • Always dry the item horizontally; avoid hanging on a hanger.
